Route04, Cyber Greens, Gurgaon

[Rated: 3.5/5]
Unpretentious in its décor and honest for its price, Route04 immediately strikes a chord with its guests. The prototype of cars hanging from the roof, huge airplane and car stickers of Mustang and Hummer, beside some old hip music gives it a retro effect. Music is loud enough to give it a pub feel still it does not disturbs the conversation at the table.

We enjoyed the Hawaiian Cottage Cheese Stick (Rs 225) which is a great option for vegetarians. With bell pepper, green and black olives, pineapple, and topped up with cilantro and grated cheese, we found it to be amongst our favorite at the restaurant. The Buffalo Chicken (Rs280; variation of chicken wings) served with Thousand Island dressing and American Grilled Chicken Skewers (Rs 280) are other good picks
at Route04.
The chicken in Monterey Jack Chicken (Rs350; Monterey Jack is semi hard cheese made from cow milk) had become dry due to over cooking and the Wisconsin Cheese Balls (Rs250) that were filled with cheese made them too salty for our taste. The cheese balls were otherwise well-made – fluffy and light; although they would sit heavy on the belly.

For a 65-seater restaurant, three servers were trying to do their best, which wasn’t sufficient for the fully occupied restaurant. And when no one welcomed and helped us settle down we knew the reason. Looks like for the same reason the restaurant missed serving us the Sheesha (Flavored Hookah) that we ordered twice.

Few places in Gurgaon offer happy hours on all drinks including Hoegaarden and Stella Beer (Rs 230/pint) which is available here on the tap and also offers nice options in starters to go along. If you can be a little forgiving on desserts and service, Route04 is an interesting option.

Must give it a try. Is this the "good" place for Hoegaarden that you were hinting at?
